The sixth graders and their teachers started the project "Environmental awareness of the school". The goal of the project is to activate pupils in creating a sustainable environment and increasing awareness of the importance of sustainable development in everyday life. The pupils visited the Communal Service of the City of Rovinj and heard firsthand how waste is disposed of. Today, they had a workshop in class, with which they started researching the environmental awareness of the school. Pupils first worked individually, then in pairs, and finally in groups. They were given the task of working out how we deal with the following things in school, what are the challenges and possible solutions for handling water, old batteries, waste and paper. Some of the pupils' suggestions were: battery containers, solar panels, recycling bins, using tablets instead of paper, recycling waste at brunch, etc. It was just the beginning of the project, these initial ideas are followed by research and ultimately the initiation of changes in the school lives of pupils, of course in the spirit of sustainable development!
