Students of first grade participated in the presentation of the Collection, Drainage and Purification of Wastewater Project in the City of Rovinj, organized by ECOINA. The students learned about the
importance of saving water and preventing the pollution of rivers, lakes and seas due to the living
creatures that live in them. The method of purifying wastewater in large newly built pools and the
reuse of purified water for watering and washing vehicles was described to them.
After that, they got acquainted with the vehicles and equipment used in the execution of works on
the drainage system. Each child tried to look through the camera, which is used to detect a
malfunction in the drainage system. After that, they painted drawings depicting water on the
pavement. At the end, they received a gift, a coloring book related to the topic of the importance of
water conservation.
