In the occasion of celebrating the World Day of Doing Good Deeds, our students organized an action to clean the school environment and the Mlinovi Park. The action was led by students of extracurricular activities Human Values and Little Environmentalists, also a lot of older students joined them. Through this action, the students emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment that we are surrounded by.
As part of the Croatian language course, the eighth grade visited the Home for the Elderly in several occasions. At the first meeting, the students got to know the assigned users of the Home. They were then interviewed to find out as much as possible about their lives. The students then analyzed the collected data and wrote biographies of the users of the Home with whom they spoke. The students read the written biographies to the users of the Home, also several biographies were published in the school newspaper. In return, the users of the Home read their literary works to the students.
The Children's City Council (CCC) of the City of Rovinj held an interactive presentation of its work to
the Student Council of our school. They explained the scope of work of the CCC, the frequency of
their meetings and the organization and structure of the CCC itself. They also shared with the
students their experience in carrying out various humanitarian actions, as well as participating in
projects on the topic of environmental protection. The students of our school curiously asked them
questions, and CCC’ve received great support at the mention of their idea of introducing more
children's parks around the city and building a skate park.
