As part of the project Institutionalization of Local Education, seventh grade students and members of the Art Group of our school carried out a project called Gremo u Gandusio dedicated to Antonio Gandusio, a famous Italian actor born in Rovinj, after whom the city theater has been named since 1923. The project was conceived and realized by teachers Dejana Tavas and Toni Žufić with the financial support of the Istrian County and Maistra hospitality group.
Researching the available documents, and considering the different data on the year of birth, we leaned towards the data that Antonio Gandusio was born on July 29, 1873, and with this project we mark the 150th anniversary of his birth and 100 years since the theater bears his name.
The seventh graders conducted a survey of citizens as part of the project to find out how much they know about Antonio Gandusio, studied his biography and made films, and the members of the Art Group made film posters.
The presentation of student posters, screening of student documentary film and the most successful short films was held in the Rovinj theater on May 29, and the best student film was awarded according to the votes of the audience.
