Nativity scene in natural size, a work of art group of students of OŠ Vladimir Nazor under the mentorship of professor of art mag. Toni Žufić and with the help of Christian community from Rovinj was one of the main motives of Advent in Rovinj 2022. The nativity scene was made by combining styrofoam, acrylic paints, osb boards and jute, and was blended into the natural environment of rocks and trees. On it were displayed figures made of wood, representing Jesus, Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels and animals.
In making the nativity scene participated more than 10 students, who showed their creativity and skills. A big role in making the nativity scene played also Rovinj's LC studio, which helped to finish everything on time.
The nativity scene was placed under the church of Saint Euphemia throughout Advent, and with its modesty, simplicity and gentle unobtrusive tones it showed to all visitors the true meaning of Christmas through silence, mild lighting and multitude of figures made of wood scattered through the churchyard. The nativity scene is a unique attraction that will surely attract many curious and lovers of art and tradition.
