The students of OŠ Vladimir Nazor Rovinj showed their talent and knowledge of space by applying to an international art competition organized by the American Space Foundation and Boeing. The theme of the competition was "Breaking Boundaries in Space", and the goal was to encourage students to explore and express their admiration for space exploration and its heroes.
The students, under the mentorship of professor of art mag. Toni Žufić, created various art works, using techniques such as drawing, painting, collage and digital processing. Their works show various motifs related to space, such as planets, stars, rockets, astronauts, satellites and spacecraft. Among them are portraits of famous people who contributed to the development of space science and technology, such as Neil Armstrong, Valentina Tereshkova and Laika.
What is especially interesting and exciting for the students is that their works will be sent to space by the famous Boeing CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is intended for transporting people and cargo to the International Space Station. In this way, the students will become part of the history of space flights and leave their mark in infinity.
