Several important dates were marked this week: Day of people with Down syndrome, Day of Gifted Students, International Day against Racial Discrimination. On the occasion of the mentioned dates, the student council of our school designed the "We are all special" workshop, the goal of which is to promote diversity and tolerance, while respecting each person as unique. The students conducted the workshop in all classes of the school. Also, as a sign of support to the people with Down syndrome pupils wore different socks. Furthermore, the students attending Civic Education created a short puppet show on the topic of racial discrimination. In addition to the above, in order to pay special attention to the Day of the Gifted, the Biology teacher took fifth graders to a field lesson at the Marine Research Center, while eighth graders visited the Vocational Professions Festival in Pazin. Also, on Friday, the school held a “Kangaroo without borders” math competition!
