A group of eighth-grade pupils interested in working in a biological laboratory visited the Sea Research Center in Rovinj. Under the leadership of Dr. sc. Ane Baričević were given a brief insight into the history and work of the Center, and had the opportunity to do the DNA isolation exercise from mussel gill samples themselves. The pupils showed great interest, worked patiently and carefully, and completed the exercise extremely successfully. The pupils learned how to handle micropipettes and pipettes and how to use a centrifuge in the laboratory. All in all - this was an unforgettable and useful experience. Many thanks to Dr. sc.
