The 4th grade pupils painted the bags, while the 2nd grade pupils filled the bags with dried lavender. The pupils picked the lavender in July, left it to dry, and now made scented lavender bags out of it. Pupils will present decorative and scented bags to the users of the Home for the Elderly Domenico Pergolis!
The student council of our school was visited by the president of the Youth Council of the City of Rovinj, Mrs. Valentina Orbanić. The President of the Council explained to the students what the Youth Council is and what their scope of work is. She was also interested in what our students would change in the City of Rovinj, so the members of the Council proposed numerous ideas. We will single out just a few of them: building a park for older children, controlling people on electric scooters, building a path for cyclists, covering the bus station, organizing workshops for young people (e.g. baking cakes), establishing new sports clubs (cycling and badminton) and others. We hope that our students' ideas will come to life soon!
5th grade students attending the Civic Education extracurricular activity participated in the 15th Children's Rights Festival under the guidance of teacher Dubravka Burić. They conducted workshops on the topic: Conflict resolution styles designed by the leaders of the non-profit organization Festival of Children's Rights. The students showed great interest in the topic and successfully completed the task!
