Writing about nature in nature (through the "outdoor classroom"): we wrote haiku poetry about what we see, hear and feel during our stay in nature, in English. After a short introduction about what haiku poetry is, the students wrote their works and then read the works of all participants in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
We introduced the "outdoor classroom": we replaced the closed space of the school classroom with open spaces and held our English lessons in the school yard, a nearby park or by the sea. Such work supports the main project ideas of strengthening awareness of the need for greater stay and contact with nature in order to raise awareness of the need for its preservation.
The 6th and 8th grade students were introduced to the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals in the English class through presentations and short educational films, after which we discussed the presented content and checked their understanding.
